3 weeks Amazing Europe Honeymoon 2009!!

This is a loooong overdue post. Many of our friends are requesting for our travel itineraries. Before we forget those minor details as time goes by, it will be good if we can share them here with everyone!!

OK, Europe.... Many honeymooners' dream destination. It takes a lot of time and a lot of money to plan one of those dream destinations. But once you done it, the memories will be with you forever. While I'm blogging this entry, I'm already itching to plan for the next "The Return of Europe!!"

It took me 4 months to plan our dream trip. We could had done the easy way out, booked a tour with a travel agent and followed through the course. But since it was our honeymoon, we wanted to do it our way, just the two of us.

Europe is BIG, very BIG. we had a hard time deciding not which places to go, but which places to give up! We had only 21 days and hope to cover as much places as possible. But if we did that, it would be a rush rush touch and go trip. We wouldn't have enjoy the way we wanted. Therefore, we chose from the top of our list and promised ourselves that we would return again for the rest!

Thanks to Tripadvisor and many reference travel guidebooks (especially Rick Steves), we decided to cover Italy's Rome (3N), Florence (2N) and Venice (3N), Switzerland's Lucerne (2N), Murren (2N) and Lauterbrunnen (3N), and of course France's Paris (4N).

Why these places? We wanted a diversity of interests. Italy has rich historical monuments and architectures, Switzerland has vast pasture landscapes backdrop with its magnificent snow-capped Swiss Alps. Paris, do I need further introduction? The romantic City of Lights!

With these, we slowly built up our itineraries.. Every single detail, from flights schedules, trains timing and platforms, hotel reservations, places of interest opening times and prices, what are the must do/ eat, where to get free shows, how to avoid queues and crowds, how to avoid petty crimes, etc... With all the preparation done, we were ready for our amazing honeymoon!!
